2.What do you want them to do when they are viewing your site?

3. Do you want to target mobile devices, or desktop/laptop, or both devices?
Abundance Marketing .Org recommends to design your site for the desktop/laptop and offer a sub-site option for viewing on a mobile device. The mobile sub-site is a simplified version, designed for the smaller screen of mobile device.
So the starting point is usually the larger desktop/laptop website design.We can make the website mobile optimised for NZ$50 extra.

You have the opportunity to specify the details for your website design, by answering the following questions about the components of your website:
4.Colours – What colour scheme do you want for the site?
Generally you’re going to want two or three main colours.

5. What page width do you want?
Abundance Marketing .Org recommends 900 or 1000 pixels wide. Our website page width is 1000 pixels.
6. Background – plain, graduated or image?
Abundance Marketing .Org recommends a light coloured background, with a graduation from light top to darker footer.
7.Page transparent or non transparent?
We , recommend non-transparent, because the text can be more difficult to read, depending on what the background is.

Header –

Header height – Between 100 and 300 pixels. Abundance Marketing .Org recommends 125 pixels high. This is enough to make it clear what the website is about, without using up too much of the most valuable space, that is the page above “The Fold”, that’s the part of the page you see before scrolling down.

Abundance Marketing .Org offers a free plain text and slogan with our websites. It is usually your business name at the top. You can also have a slogan under neath. 10.What font size do you want for the text?
It  can be 12, 13, or 14 pts. We recommend 14. That’s the size on our website content text http://www.abundancemarketing.org/ It’s easy to read without feeling like you’re squinting. Many readers have eyesight impairments, so it’s best to make your page easy to read.

Website pages -

The minimum number of pages we recommend is 4, depending on whether you need a terms of service/disclosure/disclamer page. We do not provide legal advice, so if you’re are unsure about this you may want to discuss it with a lawyer. We have one, on this site that details our terms of service. If you give advice or have Google adsense on your site it is normal to have a disclaimer/disclosure. We can copy and paste your text on to a page for you, but you will need to provide the text, that is specific to your type of business.

“About”, or “The team” -

Introduces you and/or your “team”

Privacy policy -

The search engines like to detect a privacy policy, that improves your ranking in the search engines.
We can provide a standard text for the privacy policy, the same as our privacy policy page. http://www.abundancemarketing.org/privacy-policy unless you want to give us your own version in an email text.

Contact Page -

We can provide a standard contact page, like the one on our web site, for no extra charge.
11.Which pages do you want?
Bear in mind that it’s easy to add pages later, if you decide to expand the website.

12.What domain name do you want?
A .co.nz domain is more expensive, both to buy and host, but some people prefer them for a New Zealand based organisation.
I usually go for a .com, .net, or .org, because they are both cheaper to buy and host.
The rest of the design can be left up to us.
We present you with the website to view, with one free opportunity to alter any thing on the site layout you wish.
