We give you the opportunity to specify the details you want, or you can leave the details up to us and we will do what we think is best for you.

• Target device.  Do you want to target mobile devices, or desktop/laptop, or both devices?

Abundance Marketing .Org recommends to design your site for the desktop/laptop and offer a sub-site option for viewing on a mobile device. The mobile sub-site is a simplified version, designed for viewing on the smaller screen of a mobile device.
So the starting point is to design and develop the larger desktop/laptop website design. Then the mobile site becomes an add-on.

For Abundance Marketing .Org to design and create your website, you need to consider the following
elements of your website:

Colours –

What colour scheme do you want for the site?
Generally you’re going to want two or three main colours. If your business or organisation already has colours associated with it, then it’s usually best to use those.

Layout -

Columns -

Columns are the vertical segments on the page, that the content is contained in.
We generally recommend a two or three vertical column content layout.
We believe four or five columns presents too much information all at once and creates a confusion for the potential customer, who has too many choices and can get lost from your intended funnel.

Menu Bar -

Can be either above or below the header. And or on the left or right side of the page content.

Above is an example of a web page layout with a two column, right menu and a top menu. I usually go for either a top or side menu, but not normally both. I’m using both on this site to demonstrate these options.

Page Design -

What page width do you want?
Abundance Marketing .Org recommends 1000 pixels wide.

Background –

Plain, graduated (colour range as seen at the top of the background on this page) or image? Abundance Marketing .Org recommends a light coloured background, with a graduation from light top to darker footer, like this page.

Page transparent or non transparent?
A transparent page shows the text on the background. We recommend a non transparent page, otherwise the text can be harder to read, depending on what the background is.

Header –

We generally recommend a header at the top of the page, that includes can include the name of the company, business or organisation, a slogan, and/or a logo or image.
Header text, slogan, and logo and images.
Abundance Marketing .Org offers a free plain text and slogan with our website designs, like the one below.

Or for an extra $NZ50  we can create a header, with graphical text made by us. This could include images and/or logos provided by you.

Header height –

Can be between 100 and 300 pixels. Abundance Marketing .Org recommends 125 pixels high.That’s the height of the header on this page. This is enough to make it clear what the website is about, without using up too much of the most valuable space, that is the page above “The Fold”, that’s the part of the page you see before scrolling down.

Content -

Content text size –

Can be 12, 13, or 14 pts. We recommend 14. That’s the size on this page. It’s easy to read, without feeling like you’re squinting. Many readers have eyesight impairments, so it’s best to make your page easy to read. You provide the content text and images, we can copy and paste it, for the original post if you want us to.

Content Magement System. (CMS) -

The websites we create include Content management system (CMS), for no extra charge. This content management system features a standard editing system, that can allow you to update your site as and when you want to. Or if you prefer we can manage it, and make any updates or alterations for a fee.

Website pages -

The minimum number of pages we recommend is 3 or 4 depending on whether you need a terms of service/disclosure/disclaimer page. They are as follows:

1. Home – Typically provides the details of what your business, goods or services are, and may include sales copy and other marketing info and techniques.

2. “About”, or “The Team.” We recommend presenting a friendly face to your potential customer.

3.Privacy Policy – The search engines like to detect a privacy policy, it improves your ranking in the search engines. It also makes your site look more professional, and can allay privacy fears that some customers may have. Abundance Marketing .Org can provide a standard text for the privacy policy, unless you want to give us your own version in an email text, so we can copy and paste it for you.

4. Disclosure, disclaimer and or terms of service. This page needs to be considered. We do not provide legal advice, so if you’re are unsure about this, you may want to discuss it with a lawyer. We have one, on this site that details our terms of service. If you give advice or have Google adsense on your site, it is normal to have a disclaimer/disclosure. We can copy and paste your text on to a page for you, but you will need to provide the text, that is specific to your type of business.

5. Contact – Provides an easy way for your new customers to contact you. This can include phone, email, address, QR code and map with a location marked.
We can provide a standard contact page, like the one on this site, for no extra charge.

Footer -

We recommend a footer that includes internal or external links, to direct the potential customer in the way that suits you. With an RSS feed button.

Favicon -

That’s the small image in both the address bar and tab.

 

We also offer a text favicon, at no extra charge, with each website we design.

Website Design Details -

The rest of the design details can be left up to us.
We present you with the website draft to view, with one free opportunity to alter any thing on the site layout you wish.

Domain name purchase -

It’s easiest if we purchase the domain for you. It will be registered, with the name and contact of your choice, as the owner. Which can include ownership privacy, although we do not recommend ownership privacy as the search engines view this with suspicion. Our domains have no privacy, and we have had not had any problems due to that. Registering the domain, in your name means you will own the site.

Website hosting.

It’s best if we arrange the hosting for your website for you. Otherwise it may cause problems with the websites operation.
